Thread: Ffmpeg merging cuts causing audio being 1 second ahead

  1. #1

Question Ffmpeg merging cuts causing audio being 1 second ahead

When i use LosslessCut software to merge cuts (should be keyframe cuts) made by LosslessCut software, for this particular project it cause that in 3/4 of the resulting video the audio is 1 second ahead of video (even the source video fragment/cut seems in sync). The mpv player says "Audio device underrun detected."

I have tried to shift the audio for the cut:
    ffmpeg -i "$file" -itsoffset "$direction""$time" -i "$file" -map 0:v -map 1:a -c copy "$tmpdir"/"$filenew"
it worked, but the audio gap that is on the resulting video fragment beginning seems to be ignored by the resulting merged file so the audio is not "fixed".
So i am thinking where the problem is.
    1. How to discover in which particular cut is the issue?
    2. If i can anyhow shift the audio in resulting merged file from certain time to the video end (not for whole video)
    3. If i can fill the audio gap somehow by silence

One idea is not to merge fragments/cuts but add these to a video player playlist and record the screen :-/
