Thread: Best Micro Four Thirds (MFT) Cinematography Camera

  1. Default Best Micro Four Thirds (MFT) Cinematography Camera

I know that the Blackmagic Production, Pocket, and Pocket 4K use the MFT lens mount but I was just wondering what other companies (besides Blackmagic) out there use the MFT lens mount?

My only stipulation is the fact that it has to shoot at least 4K.

60p and RAW are nice but not necessary. I will probably use it mostly in 24p.

I like Blackmagic (as I have one) but I would like to know what other companies are out there!

The biggest ones are Leica, Olympus and Panasonic.

Only thing that I can name without asking Google is Panasinic's GH series in particular the GH4 and GH5 flagships. I'm pretty they also utilise MFT sensors in lower tiers by now but I don't know if they offer lens interchangeability on other models.

Got it - they are nice cameras for sure but Iím wondering about models that are targeted primarily for film-making like the black magic

GH5S is the version that is specifically geared towards film making.

The specs on the gh5s look great - I donít see a fan port in the photos so maybe it doesnít have one - that would be awesome too
