My opinions are just that . . . Mine. It's not personal, but is based on my emotional and professional reaction to requested critique. If you choose to ignore constructive comments, I'll just assume you're a vanity poster and not posting to improve your filming and editing skills.

Sorry, but I see no compelling reason or motivation to sign up to Facebook (or twitter). I just don't comprehend what the big deal is!

As if we didn't waste enough time here.
FB is replacing actual human communication is a much more significant way than email.
I sent nephew some cash for his 22nd birthday through the post (silly, I know, I normally send a cheque). Having heard nothing from him by way of thanks I was concerned tha maybe it had gone astray. He said he'd thanked me on Facebook!

I think he's too old to receive presents now.

And I felt the same way until perhaps a year or so ago - I've found it to be a very good way of cultivating customers for my motorsport video enterprise - I now have direct, easy access to well over seven hundred participants in the sport that I can direct message (and therefore sell to) in a way they both understand and respond to. Let's face it - how many people said they didn't get the point of email when that first arrived? I mean - who would want to get a letter that wasn't written out personally on actual paper?

Man, when email came out I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Then, when webpages arrived, I felt the same.

I have participated in a couple of Filmmaker oriented social networking sites, and after a year or two they just became boring and pointless.

I suppose that Facebook may be different, as it has a lot more people on it.

Humm? Oh, what the hell....I'll go and sign up.

    (A few minutes later)

OK, I signed up and joined the Digital Directors group. Now what do I?
