4k video is going to need about 4 times the bandwidth of 1080, assuming same frame rate and degree of compression. If you're running 60fps, that's going to take 8 times the bandwidth of 1080 30fps. What I've read is that you need about 25 Mbs for 4k.

To be honest! I'm not sure what they do on the Faceook upload! But when I export them from my Editor, they are identical to the raw camera footage in MP4 format, Though so far I have not been able to get one of them working properly on Facebook LIVE, but when I just upload a 4K to my page, It goes up normally, and it looks a a lot better then my HD ones do!

I bet you need to either down sample them to HD or compress them more to fit them in your available bandwidth.

Great settings for the cartoon look - I know it can take time to get that right (and can change from shot to shot). Personally, I'd lose the Japanese connection (ie just the characters ) as it sends out a confusing message. I like the shots of the individuals during the slide solo - they contribute to the vibe of a band who enjoy playing together. Edits are good (I liked the cuts to the drummer as he hits and choke's the crash. What you've got is good, but it's all md-shot. I'd like a lot...

And what upload speed do you get when you run your speed test. What frame rate are you trying to stream? (I don't have a solution, I'm just staggered theres' even a possibility of streaming 4K live from what is, I asume, a domestic connection)

And try not to be daunted by how "complex" HitFilm is. It's not really - like MS Word and typing a letter, you probably only need to know about 5% in order to produce perfectly good result (assuming what you've shot is perfectly good  ) Initially (unless you want to jump in with video effects) avoid anything to do with "composites" and you'll be up and running in no time. DaVinci Resolve is another free possibility, but requires a bit of oomph in your computer. (PS Also in my 60s - it...

I then connect to OBS software on my PC, and try to Go Live with one of them, but they play very Slow & Freeze up, and the audio keeps skipping! This only happens with the 4K Videos! not the HD videos that I Stream all the time. Is this 4K resolution maybe just too high for Facebook LIVE? and I do run a speed test on my Internet connection, previous to my broadcast! Thanks John

Hi Alan - your best bet is to download the free software called HitFilm Express - there are plenty of free tutorials - you can buy add-ons for it but you won’t need to unless you really want fancy effects - you will learn about compositing which is a key element of film-making

Looks interesting. Might be useful for some productions but for me personally I don't see me using it any time soon. I might be interested in using this if it was a standalone software program that didn't require me to upload everything. Especially if I can hook it up to virtual storage like Google Filestream (I think this name has changed but no idea what it's called now)

Glancing at this it seems to me it's no so much video editing as Motion Graphics. After Effects (or HitFilm) would be better suited with perhaps Premier used to asseble the different clips. And don't be fooled into thinking knowing how to do the animation is the solution - creating the graphics (Photoshop/Illustrator or Affinity Designer) in the first place is the where the real creative skill lies.

While I do like that idea, it still only gives me an idea on one video. I am currently thinking this as my basic formula: 1. Skip first 30 seconds to avoid intro stuff 2. Skip last 30 seconds for outro 3. Randomly grab scenes that make good 5-second clips until I have 30 seconds or so. I am wondering if anyone has a better step 3+. Thanks!

Unfortunately I don't have 11 loaded so I can't post a veg but here is how I would do it (and have just tested in VP17 although everything I do is available in 11) Put your two video events on tracks 2 and 4, overlapped for where you want the transition to take place. The event in track 2 should be the incoming video event. Tint them to your choice using whatever colour FX you want (I presume you're not asking how to do that - I just used the HSL Adjust for my demo. ...

Which is a problem, I can't spent 10-30 minutes watching a video to then make a preview of it. I'd lose money on the job. Do any of you have any experience making preview videos? Looks like you replied to a spammer  Anyway, in order to avoid that you need to minimise all reflections. Start by placing black velvet on your dashboard and see if that works. If it doesn't you'll need to use a black cowl that runs all the way from your lens to the windshield and indeed seamlessly touches both ends so there will be zero reflections coming back from the windshield back to the camera.

There are multiple aspects to this production and editing is just one part / first you’ll need to film some shots - based on your reference example I’d attach a GoPro 8 to your friend’s head, slip him some Crystal Meth or PCP, and send him clubbing - the next part will be editing - you’ll need software like Adobe CS or Final Cut or HitFilm for example / first make sure to consume any remaining doses of Meth or PCP then you’ll be all set - some of the elements of the film (upside down view) can...

That's encouraging. The AMPEX TBC goes with this kind of hardware.. VTR reel to reels.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-NDpdgebkU which is a whole other level of pro gear... but the labeling of the ins/outs of the TBC don't strike me as named differently than any other BNC composite input / output.. this is the item I bought.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-AMPEX-TBC-6-Full-Performance-Digital-Time-Base-Corrector-LOCAL-PICKUP/294090331543?hash=item4479265597:g:56YAAOSw~gRgYBRB...

I run my S-VHS signal through an old DVD/hard-disk recorder to my Intensity Shuttle.

Hey Mates ! I don't know, if this is where I should post. I already have some editing experience, but my goal is to get to that type of editing, but I can't find videos or courses to learn how to edit that way. Can anyone recommend me? I do a lot of video shooting from my Car, and I have finally found a good mount, one of the (Fat Gecko) Models, but before I ordered it I realized that no matter what Mount I place on my Dash, the front of the Dashboard seems to always be included in the shots! I want to find some way to avoid this, but even putting the phone up by the rear View Mirror, it's still in there! Since its a Phone/Cam, the LG V30, I can't change the Len's! Would anyone have any Ideas on what might solve this...

Hi there, I took a chance, and maybe it was a bad one.. but I got a AMPEX TBC-6 that appeared to have the key thing I need: two time base corrector channels. However, I'm learning that this was designed for this non segmented VTR.. my intent was to be able to hook up fairly consumer grade composite signals to this device to act as a A / B TBC so I could feed that to my Echo Video Switcher. Does anyone know anything about these heterodyne signals and if a consumer signal could be fed to...

The specs on the gh5s look great - I don’t see a fan port in the photos so maybe it doesn’t have one - that would be awesome too

Got it - they are nice cameras for sure but I’m wondering about models that are targeted primarily for film-making like the black magic

Only thing that I can name without asking Google is Panasinic's GH series in particular the GH4 and GH5 flagships. I'm pretty they also utilise MFT sensors in lower tiers by now but I don't know if they offer lens interchangeability on other models.

Post a request on local Facebook/Nextdoor etc social media. I'd suggest not invinting them to auditions at your house though! (Well, not as a first step)

Do you mean you want your five paraise song clips in one praise song video or in five separate ones? If the latter then this is easy in just about any NLE seftware (eg HitFilm Express) Assuming your whole service is on the timeline, create a time selection containing just the section you want for praise song 1 and "render" that. Rendering is the process of creating a playable video file (eg an mp4) from the clips on your timeline. Repeat for every clip you want to create. No need for new...
