I know that the Blackmagic Production, Pocket, and Pocket 4K use the MFT lens mount but I was just wondering what other companies (besides Blackmagic) out there use the MFT lens mount? My only stipulation is the fact that it has to shoot at least 4K. 60p and RAW are nice but not necessary. I will probably use it mostly in 24p. I like Blackmagic (as I have one) but I would like to know what other companies are out there!

I have a client that wants me to make ~30 second previews for about 100 of their corporate videos. Each of the videos range from 10-30 minutes in length. Which is a problem, I can't spent 10-30 minutes watching a video to then make a preview of it. I'd lose money on the job. Do any of you have any experience making preview videos? If so, do you have a formula that lets you make a decent preview without actually watching the video? Any tips? Thanks in advance!

I have been doing some 4K videos, 3840 x 2160 and then exporting them same size to MP4 files, on my VSDC Editor. I then connect to OBS software on my PC, and try to Go Live with one of them, but they play very Slow & Freeze up, and the audio keeps skipping! This only happens with the 4K Videos! not the HD videos that I Stream all the time. Is this 4K resolution maybe just too high for Facebook LIVE? and I do run a speed test on my Internet connection, previous to my broadcast! Thanks John

4k video is going to need about 4 times the bandwidth of 1080, assuming same frame rate and degree of compression. If you're running 60fps, that's going to take 8 times the bandwidth of 1080 30fps. What I've read is that you need about 25 Mbs for 4k.

But when I export them from my Editor, they are identical to the raw camera footage in MP4 format, Though so far I have not been able to get one of them working properly on Facebook LIVE, but when I just upload a 4K to my page, It goes up normally, and it looks a a lot better then my HD ones do!

And try not to be daunted by how "complex" HitFilm is. It's not really - like MS Word and typing a letter, you probably only need to know about 5% in order to produce perfectly good result (assuming what you've shot is perfectly good  ) Initially (unless you want to jump in with video effects) avoid anything to do with "composites" and you'll be up and running in no time. I might be interested in using this if it was a standalone software program that didn't require me to upload everything. Especially if I can hook it up to virtual storage like Google Filestream (I think this name has changed but no idea what it's called now)

Looked interesting then "upload your video" 1. We have to trust you tro look after it securely 2. That's the bit which will slow the whole process down such that it's quicker to log the traditional way. Or have I missed something?

Great to see another video from you. Full of life and it really feels like you are talking to me, enthusing about all the best bits of your trip. The majority of the film is these personal vlogs and it is all the stronger for it. Good images and (generally) clear sound. I have a few minor gripes though (as you'd expect from me). I thought the intermediate bits, the links/montages etc, whilst edited very well were too busy and the music too thump-thump heavy for the subject matter. I might...

I found a few tools that claim they can automate the creation of video previews: • https://cloudinary.com/blog/auto_generate_video_previews_with_great_results_every_time • https://lucidvideo.ai/automated-video-previews/ • https://valossa.com/autopreview/ Anyone have any experience using these?

Sorry I've never had to source motion graphics or any stock footage. However if my experience sourcing appropriate music is anything to go by, expect to spend a LOT of time searching for what you want - at least until you become familiar with some sites. Good luck!

Thank You Tim, for the response. It is indeed the motion graphics , I found out after looking through some of the clips in envato market motion graphic videos. Can I make this kind of video by simple buying the motion graphic from envato market website or you suggest something else? I know its not very creative, but I think I do not need to know beyond this as I am a full time trader.

Glancing at this it seems to me it's no so much video editing as Motion Graphics. After Effects (or HitFilm) would be better suited with perhaps Premier used to asseble the different clips. And don't be fooled into thinking knowing how to do the animation is the solution - creating the graphics (Photoshop/Illustrator or Affinity Designer) in the first place is the where the real creative skill lies.

I was offered a flat rate, which, at my preferred rate, is about 15 minutes per video, all in. I could take 20 and not feel bad, as this is more production work than creative.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but can't you cost for that, i.e. if you charge an hourly rate, include this time in the cost?

I am starting to think that I may need to go back with a higher rate, or let them know that the previews will be "dumb" and just some 5-second clips spaced throughout the video.

I rather liked that. Video and performance seems to suit the music very well.

It was intended to give the client an idea of how long the process takes, not you an idea of what to do! Without viewing the whole video and selecting "good" points, then reducing the selections to a total 30 secs which work well together, I can't see this as being anything other than a mess.

While I do like that idea, it still only gives me an idea on one video. I am currently thinking this as my basic formula: 1. Skip first 30 seconds to avoid intro stuff 2. Skip last 30 seconds for outro 3. Randomly grab scenes that make good 5-second clips until I have 30 seconds or so. I am wondering if anyone has a better step 3+. Thanks!

I suspect they simply don't understand how long it takes to create a 30 sec video from 10-30mins of material. Either that or they're trying it on. Is there any possibility of sitting down with one o fthem and doing a very rough edit (ie just selecting the bits to include) - with them selecting so they get an idea?

Absolutely it is! Unfortunately I don't have 11 loaded so I can't post a veg but here is how I would do it (and have just tested in VP17 although everything I do is available in 11) Put your two video events on tracks 2 and 4, overlapped for where you want the transition to take place. The event in track 2 should be the incoming video event. Tint them to your choice using whatever colour FX you want (I presume you're not asking how to do that - I just used the HSL Adjust for my demo. ...
