| | It's amazing how polarizing views can be on weddings videos vs photos. I would gladly have no photos and an amazing video, my girlfriend thinks it's 'sad' and wants a 'nice photo album'. Will we ever get married????? |

| Yes you will.....compromise is the key.
She marries you, and you get the wedding film....great compromise I say

| | You may want to post at muvipix.com and see what you come up with. Many of our members are professional and amateur videographers from all over the world. We have many members from the UK that have done professional work, someone might be interested in building their portfolio.
Whoever you go with, make sure you have seen some of their work first.

| | From the information I have acquired from my previous clients who have requested their VHS tapes to Dvds and meeting previous clients on other weddings i can definitely say that the Video is played on a regular basis and the photos get the odd look in, of course if they have a photo on the wall then the Photos do get seen more then the video. |

| | "If push came to shove I would choose photos over a video"
I hear that so many times, until after Ive delivered the DVD and then its "wow I cant believe we werent going to have a video".
Best option is get an expereinced wedding videographer to film and hand over the rushes at the end of the day!

| | Only 2001, a mere baby in the video world,
rant/
You know what I have been filming for way longer then that and it never ever occurred to me to offer a....
Personal service, whats the point its only a wedding
never though having a Unique style so I stand out from the crowd... get the money and run I say
Documentary approach, wow that's novel in weddings never come across that before.
Like the idea of team, that way I can have a dozen guys doing my work while I get the glory.
Never thought of capturing the day as it unfolds, better to get it all done in the morning and get the afternoon off or better still another wedding job.
/rant
Sorry for the rant, just you get these one posters (polite word) who add nothing to the debate offer no real help yet want to advertise themselves. |

| | Oh dear Duke, it really makes me cringe to see this kind of advertising.
If you can do all that, surely you should be fully booked, and have NO time to offer your services for a cut price!
Agree with ZCheema on this.
Cheers.

Looking forward to hear from you soon. | So are you Matthew Duke? I'm just asking as I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be hiring a videographer that refers to himself in the third person. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
