Marc - keep at it - I think it is a great idea.
At hte risk of more complications... how about 5 most nominated get to the public vote - otherwise I can forsee the nom list getting huge.

I use the ' monkey keyboard effect ' - make enough films and you are bound to get nominated - lols.

Am I even close.... ?? ?
So in november we are nominating, voting for any video posted in november ?? That seems a way of keeping the idea alive in peoples minds, but it also means that poeple posting a film end of nov are unlikely to garner votes as they will have been cast previously.
But voting on videos in nov from videos in october means its all a bit out of time and takes the edge off.
I am not sure i have my head round this at all so I may be talking pants... how about nominations that are not votes for first three weeks of month - anything nommed just goes on the vote list - then vote on that list for a week and no further nominations. After voting nominations reopen from the date they closed previous to voting.
This keeps it all current and exciting and means early noms gain no advantage. I appreciate this may all be stymied by the software - of which I know nothing...

Ok - so at the end of nov we have an october winner and then the nom buttons will appear for anything posted in november ???
