Default Light Diffuser

Anyone know where I can get a good light diffuser?

I am shooting in strong sunlight and need to take some of that harsh light off my subject.

Tks,

Surrey UK.

A cheap fill reflector can be had with a textured foil covered automobile windscreen reflector. These are inserted against the windscreen when parking in the sun to keep the car cooler. The surface gives a nice difuse light with very soft shadows.

Or you can just tape aluminum foil, matte side out, to a section of cardboard.

To actually reduce the direct glare, cheesecloth makes a nice shade filter. A frame of plastic plumbing pipe is lightweight, strong and if strategically selected joints aren't solvent welded it can be dismantled for transport.
