So I'm almost in the market for a new camcorder.
And although I can only describe myself as an enthusiastic amateur, I am also a confirmed dyed-in-the-wool technogeek.
And I'm thinking in terms of something like an FX1 or FX7 HDV type of thing (If I can get the capital expenditure authorisation - AKA the wife's agreement!
)
But where the hell do you go to actually get a hands on look at this type of kit? I mean it's not the sort of thing that Comet or Dixons are going to sell is it?
It seems like there are a plethora of web sellers who will happily take your money from you, but no matter how much you read, and how much the reviews say stuff like "a dream to handle" etc, I have found that there is nothing like actually playing with things for yourself.
I'm in the west of England, but get up to London pretty regularly, so can anyone suggest somewhere?
