Hello all, this video is my most recent directorial and editing piece, specifically aimed at testing visual effects, new compositing techniques and digital grading.

We were fairly pleased with the way the shots came out, and therefore edited them together into a trailer-like clip to show them off at once.

There is one nude shot, but I didn't think it was enough to put it solely in the adult section, so this is a warning just to cover me!

Thanks very much! As a small test we're not expecting a huge amount of coverage or response, nor to be hailed as gods :P but definitely a success.

For this particular piece, I used a combination of software packages and different techniques to achieve the relevatn effects.

Final Cut Pro HD - Editing
Adobe After Effecs - Compositing, rotoscoping and initial grade
CompositeLab Pro - Final Grading and Composites
Apple Shake - Advanced Composites
Adobe Photoshop - Frame editing, rotoscoping
Apple Quicktime Pro - Codecs + encoding
FFmpegX - Codecs + encoding

Depends how many effects tutorials are here already, but I may write some for this site based on how I achieved some of these effects.

Would you be able to write one about how you did the blue fire ball?

Sorry for not getting back sooner, and yes, as soon as I have time I will post tutorials about how certain effects were accomplished. Any other requests welcome and I promise the tutorials/guidea will eventually appear.
