Thank you Rogerdeng, the effect was created in Edius Pro 3 with a filter called Chrominance, it allows a region to be chosen by colour and then another filter to be added to the inside region, outside region or around the edge, in this instance the filter was monotone and it was only applied to the outside region. www.kidspc.bits-uk.com/videos/Chrominance.wmv
This video is from way back in the days of the canopus plugin for premiere, but it still works in the same way today in Edius.
It can also be done in premiere pro using the color pass filter.

There have been a few threads regarding setup of the unit. Did you have any grief getting the setup right? How long did it take? Also, do you use the support arm brace or just 'tough it out' while in use? Gets very heavy doesn't it? |
Yesterday my Glidecam 2000 Pro arrived (I was inspired by this thread to order one). I found that getting a good balance with my DVX100 was difficult. But what I found most difficult was getting a smooth picture, as the camera wanted to oscillate a wee bit when in motion. I think the largest percentage of the problem was arm strength, on my part. I won't show a clip; I'm too embarassed.
Last night, while sipping a beer on the patio and nursing the sore arm, my wife went on-line and ordered me a Glidecam "Body-Pod" out of concern and pity (see http://www.glidecam.com/product-body-pod.php).
I was stunned! Just a week ago she let me shell out $2,500 for a DV44 Lowel light kit and two wireless microphones. What a woman!!! - smile

What a woman indeed.
It would be very interesting to get your views on this bit of kit.
I hope you will enjoy your glidecam setup and share the results with us all soon.
Cheers,
Mike.

I thought that looked like you have sussed it fine.
Nice edit too, very dreamy effect with the music.
One teeny criticism, the shot with the girl in the field running with dog - she is running right to left and she looks a bit odd on the left of the screen.
