Hi!!
I really need some advise and would appreciate anything you have to throw my way!
Which format is the best to publish video clips on a website? I thought the best option would be WMP as most people use the player. If this is the case how can I convert DVD's into windows media player format?
Please help me !!
thank you |

I would have thought the quality of the mobile phones would be the most suited?

.wmv is the compression method I reccommend. On my web site I use 320 x 240 at 500 kbps (most b band is 500 minimium) or 640 x 480 1mbit.
The program you need to recompress stuff to .wmv is available free from microsoft, windows media encoder.

Thank you Mark,
Thanks to you I have made my mind up to definitely go with .wmv
However, to use windows media encoder I need to convert the DVD to .avi first. Is there any free software you know that can do that?
again, thank you so much

Oh yea, the .vob to .avi thing.
Try getting the vobs onto your hard drive and just renaming them .avi
This might wk as it works with many other applications. If that fails I suggest a google about or wait for further advice.
Cant think of a freebie off the top of my head.
