Default My first post / video attempt

I made this video a la South Park stop-motion using Windows Movie Maker, tearing it up frame by frame, using PhotoShop to superimpose my favorite "victim's" head over the basketball, then using WMM to put it back together again.

http://www.ignernt.net/MidgetMadness.wmv

The victim is just a guy I work with, not a real midget just 4'11" so no I'm not making fun of the handicapped. I started with 360 frames, but had to cut it off at like 150 because for some reason WMM bogged down with anything larger than that. I have a AMD 64 2800+, ASUS KNE chipset with NVIDIA, ATI AIW 9600, 1 GB RAM, plenty of gigs of storage.

Now... how should I have done this? What program would work better? What would be easier, or was the tedious way I did it the best way?

Why did the computer bog down? Do I need more RAM? I'm probably going to add another 2GB anyway.

I plan on doing my sister's wedding in October, so while I'm just messing around for now I want to have all my skills intact for then.

Thanks for all answers given and for extra unsolicited help.

Default Help

I have not seen the video yet, i am at work and it will not let me see it, but from your text i think your better of using a version Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe After Effects.

There not cheap and the learning curve in AE is very steep.

Hope this helps

You sure must of had a fun time with that. Use After Effects or Vegas.
