For a project I'm working on (guess what it is!) I want a short (probably only a second or two at the most) shot of a curtain moving in the breeze to emphasize a patio door being open.
Of course theproblem is one of exposure. Expose inside and the outside view through the window is bright white. And the oposite, expose outside and the inside becomes really dark.
Just had a quick play and came up with the following. I know that the brightness on the final composite is a tad shaky but a) I can work on it some more and b) I only need a second or two anyway.
Anyway. I think it's ok. Does it work?

I do think it need filming again though so I canget better or more pronounced curtain movement.
Oh, and I did it by taking the two layers and then applying a mask in AE6.5.
