Ok..Put it this way FAB!!! thats how a music video should be done-It whent with the song and kept me glued to the monitor! and no it aint hard watching other peoples kids. I was very impressed and found it a insperation. Only thing is maybe a tough of colour correction unless it was ment to be like that-What equipment you use? You use stedicam?
Seriously mate That was great keep it coming!

Not bad at all Mint. Welcome to the board!

Good track and editing. My only criticism would be the framing of the girl here and there. She's too close to the edge of the screen in alot of shots and although you can get away with it when viewing on PC, my betting is on a TV she would be half out of view. Good idea with her chasing the ghost image, like that and the simplicicty of it all is great.

Really good effort, keep it up, keep posting and let's see some more!

Excellent, I liked the framing, that sort of odd framing is very pop vid, even it might have been accidental.

Cut to the music well. I liked the white glow, good use of slo mo and normal speed. I dont think you had a stedicam but the slo mo gives a similar effect. Pretty shots were framed well. Fades were in context.

I would say that if you are new to editing then you have certainly got a good feel for it.

Nice one mint,

Thought I was in for another spice girls/choreography job....but no, that was pretty cool!
Great editing ideas, very dreamy, fits well to the song.
You;ve probably not got the chance to re-shoot on such a nice day but it was a bit shaky, and the framing would be off screen on the telly.

BTW....Whats the song?

That didn't hurt a bit!
Couldn't sit thru it once...I watched it twice.
Loved the shot of her just looking.
Nice job

Default i want to thank all of you

i want to just say alot of thanks for the great responses and it made me feel good that people would acually care to sit through it.
i did all the filmiing in about 3 hours and it took me about 2 days of editing to get it how i wanted.
i used a sony minidv cam and a homemade stedicam that is about as generic as you can get.
also used vegas 5.0 and some magic bullet stuf to get the look
yes the framing is meant to be.
i am in the begining stages of my own prod. company called
"Geeeeek Productions" i am going to try and target families for short videos of their kids and grand kids. just kinda like a personal short bio and clips like that to go along.

p.s. i think moms and grandmas would eat that up.
hey candid i filmed all the footage in sullivan IN close to you
thanks again so much and i will post more of my work this week
nate

Hey Neighbor!
I showed the guys at the office the video today and they all liked it. I had a question...What is the song? Is it from a local band?

Mainly a hobbyist. (I've done a couple small promos for work)
I work at a medical software comapny and do pretty much everything on the computer, from websites to debugging apps. This is the only one I've posted so far here:

I have a few other things to post but I'm trying to finish my new website so I can get them all online. Should be within the next week. My "production" background is from music. I'll have that on the site as well.

You said you shot the video in Sullivan, do you live in the area as well?
