0 Videos nominated Video Of the Month(s): 0 | | Flying Low & Fast - its a lot of fun!!!!
Hello All,
Had a great sunset flight last night and recorded it on video. Lots of really low flying from different angles. Also recorded a couple of engine out landings, its a seperate video on the page below the "add comments" button. Rendered in high quality, so hope its worth the extra time to download!
Took everyones advice and added in a short intro & outro.... http://www.emuvideo.com/videos.php?page=trike20051120
Regards,
Damien

Much better now thats theres an intro and outro.
Like the low flying stuff too, with the ground just rushing by.

Brian Gardner -> I think I now owe you a ride after that rave review! You can sit in the back and run the cameras for me, that would be great! Cheers.
PurpleTurtle -> the "underwater intro" was a poor immitation of your scuba clips....... next time I'll throw a few fish in the bathroom sink...
HammY -> Glad it gave you a passenger ride. Maybe if your out and about and see a sign for Joy Rides, take it up and try it. Its so easy to fly one of those things! Really is!

Yes it was rather good....
Would you allow me to copy it to my website?
I have lots of PPG footage, but would like to add some other stuff too. I already have a few videos from other contributors.

Definately better and the ending shots were great.
From my perspective, the *wow* factor of these flying videos is starting to fade. The first time you see something you've never seen before, the appeal of the video is simply what's been captured by the lens. To be honest, I was more impressed by the intro and outro than the flying itself. For me, it's no longer seeing video of flying and more being entertained by a complete video - and I'd like to see more in the style of the intro and outro.
Lets compare this to Mark's bored videos: http://www.mediachill.com/irishmark/TV/bored2.htm http://www.mediachill.com/irishmark/TV/Bored.htm
A guy sitting infront of his PC waiting for something to render. Shouldn't be watchable, should it? But it is. He's taken something boring as hell, and compelled us to sit through it.

I agree.
Since I get to see flying video footage all the time I become very unimpressed by it.
I am starting to concentrate on telling a story more than just showing some flying footage.
I get a lot of people sending me their footage and asking wjat I think of it. Quite often it is just a shakey shot of the ground viewed from a couple of thousand feet - totally unimpressive for me.
I actually had one guy send me a DVD he had made which had no edits and was his helmet camera view ofa flight over really muddy terrain. It was set to Barry Manilow music.
It was actually pretty funny to watch because it was soooo bloody awful.
