Hi, first post, though i'd see what you guys thought of my work

This is a music video i made for a band called Katscan, see what you think. It's based on the film 'They Live'.

It's hosted on their website and has a hi and low res versions.

The music is not my taste at all (although the lyrics are good) BUT I can see that this is a good bit of editing nevertheless.

How long did you work on this?

I'm totally with Para on this. Hate the music (I must be getting old!) but the editing, effects et all is terrific.

irishmark - Gordon Brown ... i was pushed for time no real reason, just needed some footage.

paragliding - i did it back around May, i think it took about a week to edit, just doing afew hours a night.

What did you use to edit it with?

I am limited to Movie maker at the moment.

I have Pinnacle studio 8; it came with my firewire card, but it is set up for NTSC and I have a PAL camcorder.

How much did that cost you?

I am about to embark on a 'professional' project, and know very little about the relative merits of various software packages.

um i 'Acquired' from the internet so i'm not sure how much it is mate.

it's definatly worth having though

You don't need to spend more than £100 on video editing software. Take a look at Pure Motion Edit Studio combined with DVD-lab, or Adobe Premiere Elements.

Think twice about ripping off software. It's expensive enough as it is...
