Thanks again guys, I didnt realise "Frankensteam" was on there too, one of my teachers, Steve Littman, is a video artist who makes all of his students make a cup of tea piece to learn the basics of video making. Took about an hour to shoot and a few more to edit, just a bit of fun really. The red text didn't go own well though.
I have done 2 other pieces since Dead Man Working, "Defrag London", an experimental piece where we made order of the chaos of london, pigeonholing every aspect by colour. It's very hard to explain and i'll have to ask the other lads if they want it shown. The other piece was an installation, "Dirty F*cking Pigeons", comprised of four screens where again we deal with the monotony and materialsism of modern city life. Hard to put online as its sposed to play back simultaneously on 4 screens.
Right now I am focusing on the arts more, not as I intend to go into that field but its an excellent way of opening your mind and a catalyst for creativity. Then, when i go back into narrative work i can take these arts aspects on board to make more interesting main stream videos....thats the plan anyway!!
@LukeD...sorry i dont know what DMX lighting is?!? We made use of all lighting available at every scene. The bedroom lighting was just a desk lamp, the office was lit with the ceiling lights. The lighting on the bridge was just a street lamp, including the halo behind Bill's head. The club scene was ordinary lighting you find in any club, or our case the Student Union. We had 2 redheads but only used them once, when Bill enters his room soaking wet, its behind him giving him a glow.
We'll probably make some more narrative work outside of university during the next few months, but it might take a while as we'll want it to be a step up from DMW.
