If I had been in that video I would laid up in hospital now.
Nice shooting though. I liked what you did with the colour, the kind of washed out look. Also nice touch at the end where you spin round. That looked good.

Eveything after the guy jumping (i.e the people dancing) wasn't shot by me. That was shot by a VERY drunk person holding a Glidecam 2000. Now if that's not an advert for camera stabilisation, I don't know what is!

WOW! That "drunken" Glidecam 2000 footage looks better than my "sober" Glidecam 2000 footage..... I must be doing something sooooo wrong! I'll have to post some footage of what I'm doing.... |

You and me both
I had the dubious pleasure of using one on Saturday. Two things I found.
1. Bleeding hard work.
2. I need new arms.

I guess it's all to do with the supporting arm business.... it seems to be balanced OK, as it takes a few seconds to swing 90 degrees from left to right, but really, the footage I've got so far is crap. |

Where are you based? If it's not too far away, don't mind popping over to help you out on a wedding and taking a look at your glidecam and crane at the same time!

Thanks for the kind offer Marc, but it's miles away! (Not-so) sunny Caerphilly
I'll let you know If I get a wedding in the Kent area - I've just done one in Hagley, so you never know...
As for the Glidecam, (and body-pod) I've had a zero percent sucess rate with them. I still use this: http://www.b-hague.co.uk/Camcorder%20Steadymount.htm
All the time, and can wear it for hours in comfort - I'd recommend it to anyone!

I was watching someone use the Fig Rig at a show the other week, he got so much flack of everyone, as it looks as if you have taken a stering wheel and stuck coamcorder inside it.
It may work well but i would never use it as the General Public were just PMSL behind his back, with steering wheel jokes all the time - Poor fella :(
this is what i use with my little sony, works well - for me
