A VERY good vid, in concept at least.
Comments - I have a particular hate for this type of lazy singing where the artist seems like he just can't be bothered. Maybe he thinks it sounds anguished and pained but in my opinion it just sounds lazy, out of tune and dreary.
As far as the video goes, I REALLY like it. It's stylish, well shot, well lit, well edited, atmospheric and generally makes a poor artist look quite good. It's a shame he couldn't make up his mind where to look though, sometimes up, sometimes into the distance, never really engaged me by looking directly into the lens with any confidence. Always seemed to be just 'off', maybe looking at the cameraman instead...?
Sorry about the negative stuff, but I believe you have alot of talent. It's just that the subject didn't measure up to it.
Good luck with other artists though....It is a very stylish video and I would love to see some others.
I promise to just focus on the video production next time! :lol: |

No, any feedback is good feedback to me, i like refreshing new opinions. It helps me get new ideas, and ways to improve. I agree with you about the artist to an extent, hes just getting started doin this so i didnt expect greatness, and his music is his style, like it or not, some people hate it, some people dig it. The audio is alright, nothing to fancy, 2 mics one on the guitar, one on the vocals, then doubled the track in sound forge, it coulda been better but i got lazy. I appreciate all the positive remarks on the video itself. I love how you commented on the lighting, we used tons of lights and really made that a focus for the vid, i think it turned out alright. Keep the comments rollin, good or bad. |
