very nice, good job, it is very professional. Love the music :P
oh and awesome idea using the map.
I got in contact with an NGO that traveled to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. They gave me 2+ hours of video acquired during the mission. Unfortunately, not a lot of action, but I tried to squeeze as much as I could out of it, in effort to tell a story.
If you'd like to view the 30 minute "doc" here it is-

Thanks for the critiques...
...I'm going to do a tightened down version for the final.../other sites. THe 32 minute version was meant to appease this particular NGO....stroking them a bit.
New version will be down to the essential 24-26 minutes of story telling.

Ok really for me it got dull when the speeches were said, the pace was good to there but it just slowed too much for my liking. I can totally understand however that it would please the NGO for who this was for!

The video they gave me was basically a journal of their trip. If I skip over the speeches in Medan and just go to the light hearted "D-Day" portion or on to the boarding of the helicopter, the sense of "mission", teamwork and a good chunk of the "nuts and bolts" of Meulaboh are missing.
Admittedly, this isn't anything that's going to make you sit up in your chair with excitement. I took the tact that this film would try to sell the idea of "it's worth the effort" or just making an effort is rewarding for all involved.
I wish some others had answered my call for tsunami relief home video, but these 2 hours of raw were all I could scrape up.
