Gotcha 100%.
I have tightened the screws on the video by about 3 and a half minutes, focusing on eliminating about 2 1/2 minutes of talk. I also punched up the ending a bit. It's at the same address as the original.
The video they gave me was basically a journal of their trip. If I skip over the speeches in Medan and just go to the light hearted "D-Day" portion or on to the boarding of the helicopter, the sense of "mission", teamwork and a good chunk of the "nuts and bolts" of Meulaboh are missing.
Admittedly, this isn't anything that's going to make you sit up in your chair with excitement. I took the tact that this film would try to sell the idea of "it's worth the effort" or just making an effort is rewarding for all involved.
I wish some others had answered my call for tsunami relief home video, but these 2 hours of raw were all I could scrape up.
