Nice job!

What program did you use for the orb? I'm looking in doing some psychic powers in my next clip.

Thanks

I generated a ten second clip of a 'water surface' type texture from particleIllusion3.

This was then wrapped around a sphere using the Matrox Spheres effect which is part of the RtX100 realtime tools. This plugin also allows you to do scaling and transparency so that's how I made it grow and allowed it to be semi transparent while it was getting bigger.

The lightning was generated using the standard PPro effect under 'render'.

And the little cat wobble at the end (that is the part that seals the effect for me ) was done using Matrox Bulge - a brand new Matrox realtime effect released only a month or so ago.

That's about it really. It took me a couple of hours.

excellent!

Can you do it in reverse? My cat always wants out at 4 in the morning.

 I could threaten it with a reversed version.

Seymore - the forum went a bit weird a few weeks ago, and lost a load of the features including attached files, so sadly that's gone.

I'm sure Alan could upload it somewhere else though?
