| | Girl vs. Scorpion Hello people,
This is my first piece, and at 29 seconds it's a whopper! It wasn't easy to convince my girlfriend to do this, so I hope ye like it.. Again, I'm pretty new to this and work in a bistro making pizza, would love to get feedback to improve. If you get the urge to click 5 red stars, then by all means go right ahead. Some of the other entrants in this competition are quite funny (too?). |

| | Some nice cam wrk and snappy editing but the gag was a bit flat.
Can your gf be convinced to (censored )....

| | My Opinion: Technically not bad, very good in fact but it doesn't "flow". I don't know why not, maybe a timing issue or the compositions.
It's almost there though, it just needs something to add a "bling" factor. |

| | Guys, am I missing something about that video as I can't see anything creative or even remotely funny in it. It's just a young woman eating a pop with a (I presume a pretend) scorpion in it.... Freddy Starr, hamster, 25 years ago, ring a bell? Compare that to Eight50Films and 'Yogurt Man', now that is funny and well planned and executed. It must be my sense of humour, I blame the Young Ones and Bottom for that.

| | [quote=ArdenR;87975]Hello people,
This is my first piece I'm pretty new to this would love to get feedback to improve. If you're just presenting the piece as an exercise in digital video editing, I'd say you'd got the boxes ticked. As with all presentations, some will love it and some won't. The opening frames work and grab attention. Work on your audio. The sound track in the room would've detracted from your work regardless of subject matter. Your opening post bursts with glee and enthusiasm. That's a quality you can't learn. As with music, in video - there's room for everyone. It's not necessary to blow someone's light out in order for yours to shine. best regards, P.S | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
