I had a wee go at a colour pass on the last wedding video. Looked naff to the extreme (especially as the bride had chosen pastel flowers). Looks funkay to the bride if it's red and they've never seen the effect before. Bless 'em.

On a different note, saw a top class wedding dance video the other day... but it was laregly succesful due to people actually dancing whilst there was still natural light flowing through large windows. Editing is one thing, but it's the source material that counts too...

Clearly people think I was being just a little pedantic inmy critique of Marc's video tutorial. In my defence...

I had an MSN conversation with Marc and he asked me to be absolutely brutal when I critiqued his tutorial. We all know that there is generally nothing negative to say about it cos it's great.

Unless I misunderstood what Marc was asking me then he specifically wanted me to find all the little 'flaws' I could so that he's in a position to improve on the next one.

Adhereing to my comments won't allow anyone to learn any more, just add a touch of extra proffessionalism to the project is all.

I believe this is what marc wanted me to do so I did. If I misunderstood - sorry.

hey argento, ya know what would set off your video wall even more. If each of the 8 videos had a frame around it.

Haven't got the patience to do it myself. create a frame with a transparent centre. Put video on layer 1 and the frame on layer 2.

Do this for each of the 8 videos. Then when you 'wall' them together use each of the 8 sequences rather than video clips.

Worth a try.

Sounds intresting - I'll give it a go. I had a go at filming a background myself - looks fine apart from the fact I gave no thought to what I'd see of it with the windows on... needless to say, you can see bugger all - apart from the moving feather on the invite. Oh well, it's ok as a first try...

At a push, you could use a frame grab of the chru8ch as a background and make the windows smaller.

Had a go with the frames around each window, and it looks ok, but I kina prefer it how it is... All I need now is Marc's 2nd part....( )
