The book just turned up.....

And it's superb. A really big thanks for the recommendation. It's detailed, logical, and accessible - What more could I ask for.

Also - It's a bit of a bargain on Amazon, the price on the back of the book says $54.95!!

I can feel a 10% finders commission coming on

Which book did you get in the end? I only have the first one I mentioned, not the second. And then I haven't had time to do it justice.

"Creating Motion Graphics With After Effects".

Been looking through this all morning - A stunning book. Easily the best Adobe guide book I've bought so far - and I'm embarrased to tell you how many Premiere Pro guides I've bought.

It's also full colour - and It reminds me of the "Eyewitness" travel guides - different subject I know, but the layout and the colour illustrations really get the point across - Being in colour, you get a better Idea of what they are trying to show you too...

Ah, that one's is supposed to be the better of the two. And once you get the hang of things you can always buy the 'advanced techniques' (volume 2) book as well.

I actually recorded a video tutorial on Sunday. As soon as I can work out a way of compressing it down to a reasonable size, I'll post it. Problem is, I finished it, then realised that I hadn't done the animated bit and hadn't mentioned I was using Paintshop Pro.
