| | Film edits = always pointless, no real skill involved, and breaking copyright laws on multiple accounts for public use of music and video content.
Short film should have been shorter, some shots lasted way too long. |

| | as far as film edits go im not brekaing copyright because in order to break copyright in films i ahve to use the film for more than 5minutes total the length of the videos never go above 4:40 so im in the clear. Also have you been around youtube i can count how many times I see shity montages so they require some skill in terms of timeing not a whole lot but theres some and i never said it did actually if you read my youtube profile it says i usually get them done in 2hrs top and i just do them to kill time. ALso there are a couple of short films so which one are you talking about cause the 1min one cant go any shorter.

| | 1) the one minute video can be shorter..... it would improve it
2) music cannot be used for even a few seconds without having permission if it can be recognised, just ask the BMI.
3) for your information you do NOT have permission to use the visual content either without permission of the copyright owner. Whoever told you otherwise is misinformed.

| | The issue of rights is hugely complex in the detail, but simple on the surface.
Simply put without explicit permission in writing you 'could' get stuffed if you use ANYTHING for ANY PURPOSE that you didnt compose / film.
However, in reality if the work is not for financial gain getting stuffed is very unlikely. Rights holders have far bigger fish to fry - like pirate bay and US college students....
Having said that, dont quote me in court, and if you steal my stuff - ask first and credit me! ! !
Also - if you want to get anything you make broadcast you will need clearences for absoloutly bloody everything - thats why you see so many things blurred in reality tv.
