Default New York (in a shot or two)

I went to New York with the family a couple weeks ago, and thought I'd get creative with it. Really cool city, i love it.

www.members.lycos.co.uk/gwentheveg/newyork.wmv

i wuold reccomend copying it and pasting it in the URL bar. lycos is really weird.

check-da-check-check-check check it out!

Nice choice of music as ever.

What would have been fun would be to use the transport theme a bit more. Start with the plane, cut to the car, have some scenes on foot, cut to the subway - then each time you cut to the buildings, have the subway train doors open as if you're using the train to get around the city. Would be cool to keep increased speed.

Also, when you pan down the large building, you could reverse it and tag at the end the shot of you looking down over the city (hey, who knows they're not the same building LOL).

Just a few thoughts in my blurry eyed state. Is that the 53rd state? I'm afraid they don't get any better than that this week.

Great! I really liked the bit with the plane taking off. Someone should do a whole film of 11 hours sped up into 10 minutes flying across the atlantic.

Well Marc, you're the one who lives there!

Or works there at least.

What's your train journey from where you are? Victoria presumably. That passes Battersy power station eh? Get that camcorder out on your train journey and show us the sights.

Maybe you can speed up the train journey. A fast moving train in the UK would be a rare sight indeed.

I'll have to see if I can find a way of securing my camera in the car so it won't fall over (ideas anyone?) and record my own commute to work along with all my effing and blinding at the traffic hold-ups - see what comes out of it.
