American nostalgia and a famous old highway called Route 66. Prior to the Interstate Highway system, Route 66 was the main two-lane highway to the West, running from Chicago to Los Angeles. Back in the 1940s Nat King Cole recorded a famous song about it called "Get your Kicks on Route 66" and in the 1960s there was an American TV show called "Route 66" that ran for four years.
