Default A short bodyboard clip

A short bodyboard clip right click to download
9.5MB in Mpeg format.

I ripped off a few ideas from other peoples videos, like splitting the screen up a bit.

any comments appreciated.

Bit in the car made me laugh and I loved the close up shots - you need more close up shots and less waves. Too many waves. Also incorporate the end tittle squence into the video - that effect looked cool on the BMW ad. Classy effect IMHO.

Did I tell you too many waves? Oh, and more dune surfing

Don't know how you'd go about doing it but the colour match between the split screen shots do not match. i.e. when two clips are played oen above the other.

In one the sea is a nice blue and in the others it is a muddy grey.

If you've got no colour match filter (if one exists anywhere) then maybe try upping the blue a bit to get the sea the same colour.

gotcha: less waves, more close ups and use the spinning lines thing.

I'm not sure what to do about the colour of the water, I'll probably try and use clips which have the same colour water rather than applying filters, otherwise my friends from the South West might not believe I filmed it on the Gower.

Thanks for the input, I'll have another bash at it.

Just had a belated look at this, I loved it. The music is great, it's cut well to the beat, I like the use of speeded up/back&fwd clips, and the split screen helps make those scenes more interesting, regardless of the colour of the sea. As to the dune surfing, either more of it, or none of it.

Cheers

Default thanks for the input.

tried to put the suggestions into practice:
Another attempt It's a 2.84MB Windows Media file

needs a bit more work, the song has a nice slow bit a bit further on which I will put some Slow-Mo' over when I get more footage.
I tried fiddling with the colour balance effect in Premiere to make the split screen bits more consistent, and I cut down the empty wave count and upped the more close-up shots.
I think I went a bit over the top in a few places though.

Thanks for the response.
