| | Eco Ad, idea... Work in progress.
Had the idea to do a seroius ad, not a spoof, and keep it at 30s. Sort of an editing exercise really.
After a frenzied late night this is the result so far.
The v short gaps in the nature shots will have close ups of stuff being switched off, yet to film that.
Does it work? http://www.zaskarfilms.com/Films/Temp/roughoffad.wmv
Edit - Here is another try, works better i think...? Does it? http://www.zaskarfilms.com/Films/Temp/switchoffad2.wmv
edit - finished version of first idea. http://www.zaskarfilms.com/Films/swi...d_Z_dint1m.wmv

| | Link works for me. Yes, I think it works to a degree, but I'm not sure why it doesn't turn me on completely. (no pun intended). I'll have to have a think. Possibly just the choice of music... kinda predictable? Maybe I'm just being too picky. |

| | Wow! This is getting warm now Mark!...Looks really good so far. How about this..... You wanna do a serious vid on Eco in 30secs?. You must have a beginning a middle and an ending. Your middle is fantastic and 'Elgars Nimrod' is always a good choice of music.Instead of the aerials at the beginning I would open with a man on Death Row (Close up hand cuffs, shadow on wall,'DEATH ROW' sign. etc) walking to his doom, we dont know what's happening yet. Then into your 'natural' 'wildlife' 'switching off' sounds stuff( maybe also some ice cap melting shots?). Lots of Planet stuff to the 'nimrod' music and for the ending finish with a shot of a smoking Electric Chair (remember first shot?)and a caption like the fag packet 'ELECTICITY SERIOUSLY HARMS YOU AND OTHERS AROUND YOU. SWITCH OFF!and end your vid with a seriously loud power generator power failure sound effect. Fade to black. |

| | Hmm, thanks for the comments - maybe needs to be more attention grabbing. I like the elcetric chair idea - just quite a lot of work to do. I really was aiming to do this all from video I could find / aquire from web sites / dvds.
It is good practice to try to do so much in 30s exactly.
