0 Videos nominated Video Of the Month(s): 0 | | My short on iFilm.com
Hello,
I just entered my short "NOW WHAT?" into iFilm's "Now What?" video contest.
I believe iFilm converts everything into Flash, and the length is 2 minutes.
It's my first real narrative, so be kind
Here is the link: www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2782339
If you care, you can also keep tabs on the project here: www.myspace.com/nowwhatmovie
Thanks guys.
Peace,
Evan

I liked that.
You clearly have put a great deal of thought and work into that, it was well written and nicely made.
Had an unwordly feel to it, it all worked for me really well.
I liked the way it was cut, all the timings and stuff were spot on but I am not sure the wipes worked very well, but there again I have this thing about funny wipes / fades.
Definitely took me to another place, very interesting.
And the music was spot on too. Thanks.

Thanks for the comments.
Yeah, the camera was very shaky. I was running backwards trying to avoid obstacles lol
Thanks again for the replies and encouragement.
Peace.

LOL, just read the wipe post.
Yeah, I hate wipes too. Every amateur editor (me included) immediatly goes wipe or dissolve happy when they start editing.
I was trying to replicate the old silent film style with all the circle dissolves and stuff.
Thanks for the kind words.
Peace.

Ah, the wipes, well you could try editing the wipes so that they are blurry across the boundary, more like an old film and maybe add a bit of old film look with a filter - what editor are you using ?

Thanks for all the support...amazingly, we made it on the main page and are now eligible for official voting.
I know I've done enough shilling for a lifetime, but if you get a chance, you can vote here: www.ifilm.com/nowwhat/vote
We're the one in all black and white simply titled (in all caps) "NOW WHAT?"
Even if you don't get a chance to vote, I really do appreciate all the kind words (and even the honest criticism).
You're helping a kid along his way.
Peace and thanks again.

It's not amazing you got on the main page, I think it is a very well made short.
I have made a tonne of films, but most of mine are random flights of fancy or reportage / travel / kneejerk docu vox pop / reedits. What eludes me is decent well concieved drama.
One of my unfullfilled ambitions is to get something on ifilm / atom films. To do so is a big deal. Congratulations.

Voted (5) and commented, looks to be doing well.
