Yea, I prefer the more intense look. I would grunge it up in a few places, for me that is the vibe of the music. Maybe bung in some grainy bits? B/W bits? SOme m blur? There again I sometimes never know when enough is enough with the fx.

I'm highly tempted to 'grunge it up` as you say Mark. I've just heard back from their management - yep, some guys still use management - and they love Slingshotting the best.... quote from the email - "Slingshotting, in particular,is fab! All the overlap images and flash to white cuts are great. We like all that psychedelic nonsense!"
Happy customer I would say.

Little trick if you have a boring bit or need a bit of pep on an intrumental ... take the sequence (your instrumental solo or suchlike) slow it down and then overlap it onto the real-time footage. It only works if there's lots of camera movement or you have to alter the composition, digitally zoom or horizontal flip for example. It can give the impression (albeit briefly) of a two-camera shoot.
I really liked the Digital Effects you've built in so far. All in all you've created an excellent result for a single-camera shoot.

Cheers Rob. I had tried that in a couple of eariler edits but it just didn't seem to work in this instance. Appreciate the thought though. Having a little trouble finding a good grainy effect at the moment. I've got Ultimate S and am going to have a play with that too.

‘Grunge it up…’ now that’s the expression I was searching for. It says it all.

One efftect I like when 'grunging' is edge detect. I have used that on top of the original video on a few tracks with a delay on each 'edge' track to create an interesting effect, well i used it once ages ago and the band liked it, another free job.... cant find the file now.
Some grain and unsharp mask might be suitable grungy.

Hi
Just starting out in video, purely amature. My first impression, WOW how do you get the sound trak to match the video. I thorght it had to be all done in one shot.
I loved the look of the band against the black background and the sound quality was great for an outside gig and I started thinking maybe to good for a live recording.
I started thinking that it had been set up and not a live gig at all.
When I read the comments, yeah! Well done, I bet the band loved it, tell me did it raise a smile on the keyboard players face.
More of the same please.
