Oh for sure, it's all there and in 2 mins, not easy. Still I would have tried dropping a few shots and making the first 20 sec a bit less choppy.

Hi there. Thanks for letting me know the links were dead. I didn't like those sites anyhow. Here is an updated link. It is a much better site. http://www.savefile.com/files/120893
Please let me know if there are any problems. Btw I live in your neck of the woods, Lichfield, although Gialloesque was filmed in Telford.
I hope you enjoy it.

Hi
From the good comments i wish i could see the video but there seems to be a time out on both sites.
Is there anywhere else I can see it
indiandy
Ops, I should have read the whole thread first.
Great video, Great crisp clear shots in the woods loved it and yes, I did jump the first time you get to see the attacker in the house. Good sound as well. I am just starting out in videos and would be proud of a film like that.

Nice to see another fellow entry to the horror competition. Would have replied earlier, but life has kept me away from the video forums. Already replied to another forum, but thought I would paste it here since the disussion seems to happen here.
It was well shot with good use of camera angles. I thought more use could have been made of light and dark. Not sure of the wood (bad things always happen in the woods) setting but cliches are sometimes necessary when you only have 2 mins. Your shots in the woods are well composed, but I would have prefered a more urban setting as I think it would match the beginning intro of the killer better.
Maybe the charcter of Pauls scenes could have been set at night which would have given more opportunity of stylized light, like what you had at the beginning of the film.
I enjoyed it and I think I prefer it over some of the winning entires, but I guess it's a matter of taste when it comes to the judges. The only thing I didn't like was the reveal of the killers face at the end being the same as his friend. It didn't make sense as we saw the killer being a separate person in the picture message. Or was it his lost twin???

Thanks for the comments Alex. It's nice to hear from a fellow competitor from the horror channel Cut! competition especially as no feedback is provided by the judges. I have only seen 5 films in the top ten so far, Deadwood, which I liked a lot and is worthy of its position and the bottom 4. I must admit the bottom 4 have done absolutely nothing for me and I was hoping the top ten would blow me away to ease the disappointment. I have seen your entry "Curry Head" and I can't believe it didn't make the top ten.
I would have liked to film elements of Gialloesque at night but I was on a really tight schedule (new baby and everything) and I didn't have time to set up evocative lighting. I too was torn with the ending. Too much plot I think in 2 minutes. Anyway I look forward to seeing more of your work.
