Thread: Using two transition effects on the same video track...

  1. Question Using two transition effects on the same video track...

Just as the title says, really.

How can I use two transition effects, on top of each other, on the same video track? In this case, I'd like to use a Flash and Cross Effect transition together, without having to have the Flash transition effect, for instance, on a separate video track... as all this does is light up the whole screen instead of what I'm trying to focus on.

    MS.

I dont think it can be done on the timeline in one go.

I suppose you could do it by rendering twice. I would be concerned that the result would look unimpressive.

If you like complex fades you might considor making them using the supplied effects.

Use the 'Dissolve' transition and within that choose 'additive dissolve' thats as close as you will probably get.

What effect are you trying to create using the transition?

Is it introducing a flashback or time passing etc., or is it just a cool effect for a music video?
