Default thinking of buying rode videomic

    hi guys,

i have been researching mics for ages and have decided that the rode videomic is probably the best mic i can get for the money i want to spend.

I have found a good deal on:

    http://www.proav.co.uk/product_info....938d0d28ff506b

this included mic with alot of accessories..

I just want a final opinion on this mic before I buy..I wouldnt spend over 150quid for all il be using it and all the reviews read pretty good so i think il go for it.

Any last min advice would be appreciated!

    Cheers
    Jonny

I have the rode and it works very well, but the suspension is just a gimmic, does nothing except irritate.

I would advise getting the slightly more pricey sennheiser, d300 I think.

i would imagine that buying all the extra accessories for the sennheiser would amount to quite a price tag?? Would I have to buy a shock mount as an extra?
