Default Transferring 8mm tape to pc

Have just fitted a geforce 4 MX440 card to my PC. Running windows XP 512 RAM, 2.8GHz, Pentium 4 processor, 80Gb Hard drive.

The card came with 1 cable with yellow jack plug at both ends. I have connected this to my Camcorder and the PC but it does not pick up the camera

Anything else I need to do??

All drivers are installed but the software that came with the card, Power Director, does not work.

sounds to me like your gf4 has video out, not in. It shouldn't "pick up" the camera like a firewire camera would be picked up anyway, analogue capturing is passive.

Thanx for the reply, let me get this right,if the gf4 is only out ,then I cannot capture anything going in...is that correct. the information on the gf4 box is TV out (optional)
    .nts/pal
    .composite video output
    .s-video output

so I take it that means out only.

Sure does. There are MX 440 that offer VIVO (video-in video out) - but it seems yours doesn't.
