    Default New to vegas

Hi, ive just been given vegas 6 from someone who has bought it but never even used it (more money than sense but i'm not complaining) as long as i put a few movies together for him. The only experience i've had with video editing is with windows movie maker and a few free trials of pinnacle and things off the web but i always get frustrated with them slowing right down and crashing, so i was plesantly suprised when i installed vegas yesterday (i've not seen it crash!!!!)

Anyway i've been using sony sound forge and acid pro for years so i instantly knew where everything was and got working straight away and made a basic little video up from my mates motocross clips and some background music. Rendered it and burnt the video to a cd and played it in the dvd player and it was very jerky (video and audio) plays fine in windows though so it must be some compatibility problem with the DVD player,

i used Pal DV in the render setting.
