    Default Bleeping a swear

    Hello, all!

I'm pretty new with Vegas - only had it for about a week or so. I've been watching some tutorials online but haven't been able to find anything really helpful on Vegas 6, only Vegas 5.

    Anyways, here's my question:
You know how they put in the little squares of a person's mouth when they swear on TV? Kind of like this:
(and no, Pat Robertson wasn't swearing :P )
Does anyone know how I'd be able to do that with Vegas?

Ahh, cool: I found the pixelate effect but here's a new issue:

How do I apply an effect to only a specific area of the screen (i.e. mouth)?

    Wink

Add the Pixlated image to a new video track under the clip you want then use track motion to move it. Make sure the play head is on the spot so you can move it to the right place. I would think it would work but I have not tried it. Maybe someone else has. its worth a try

I'll post a video so you can see what I'm doing

    Edit:
    Here it is: click

From 1-10s, you can see the unedited version. From 10-13s, I edited just the audio. From 13-19s, I'm trying to pixelate just his mouth, not the entire screen.

For that, I went to Event FX, chose "Sony Pixelate" and added it in the beep period. Do you know what to do?

Duplicate the track, add pixellate to the top track, then add the cookie cutter and use that to show only the region you want pixellated putting in some keyframes if the area moves. Voila, job done.
