Thread: Going through a wall

    Default Going through a wall

I'm doing a project for school and want the opening shot to have the camera moving forward and traveling through a wall to reveal the inside of the building. Does anybody have any thoughts on how to best achieve this using Vegas 6?

I havent tried this but this is what i would do.

Get a shot walking the camera right up to the wall smoothly. Then get a silmilar shot moving into the room from the interior wall. Then try overlapping the shots so they fade into eachother- try some different fades and see how it works.

Yeh, What he said. Seriously though, have you seen the movie "junior" w/Schwarzenegger. They did a simular shot.

I tried it, a black fade seem to work best.

Yeah I just tried it too. Looks kind of good....I added some layers of stone and wood to show the inner wall. And I keyframed them scale to give them some motion, and a sound effect. Thanks for the help. If you think of anything else that would add to it let me know.

Yeah, I'll post a clip of the actual shoot. I just did a quick test run using my house to see if it was possible. For the final shoot I'll spend more time on it and show a finished product. Thanks again.
