    Hiya

After creating an Mpeg video does it reduce the quality if you insert the completed file back into your editing software, make a few adjustments and reproduce?

Yes because MPEG is a lossy codec. You may or may not notice the difference depending on the level of compression.

My advice would be...stay within uncompressed. If you wanted to do something like what you described. Then render out to avi uncompressed. As long as you stay within uncompressed form you will not lose quality. then make the final render into Mpeg2.
