    Default Fire-wire cable help

My firewire cable is an i.Link cable, 4pin to 6pin.
4pin to camcorder and 6 pin to CPU. This cable is for me to edit my video from the camcorder (miniDV tape). But i do not know where to find the videos from the computer. Anyone help?

Videos can only be transferred from your HDD to your PC via the timeline of your editing application.

If you are capturing directly from your camcorder, then you have to set up a new project and then use the Capture window in the software to transfer the video from the camcorder to the hard disk. On the otherhand, if you already have video on the computer, you just have to import it into the project window and click and drag it onto the timeline.
