Default PC any good for video editing?

Hi everyone. I have a pc I built 3 years ago and I was wanting to get into video editing. I was wondering if it is good enough or if I need to build a new pc.

Motherboard - MSI K7N2G-L Socket A (Socket 462) NVIDIA nForce2 IGP ATX AMD
Processor - AMD Athlon XP 2100+ Thoroughbred 266MHz FSB Socket A
    Memmory - (2) DDRAM 512M|DDR400 CL3 PC3200 -k RT
    Hard drives - 180GB/WD 7200 WD1800JB 8MB
    60GB/WD 7200 8MB
    DVD Burner - Pioneer DL
    DVD Drive - Liteon

Thanks for any help or advice.

That's very similar specs to my other computer, which does ok.

It really depends on what you're doing. If you're just splicing and fading in and out of black, then this computer will do just fine.

Might need to get a firewire card though.

Thanks. Computer does have a firewire card so guess it's time to play and see what happens.
