    Default Audio synch problems

Hi, I'm a complete newbie. Although I'm sure this is a common question, searching and checking the FAQ yielded no results.

Every time I try to download information from my camcorder to my PC, the audio starts to lose synchronisation with the video. It starts off okay, and gradually gets worse. What are the common causes of this problem, and what ways are there to overcome it?

are you capturing from a Digital camera?

if so are you using firewire?

if you're using USB or another method you should switch to firewire, this solves many capture related problems.

If you are already using firewire, can you give us an idea of your set-up.

I am using USB. I also tried recording the sound via my sound card, and had the same problem. I'll try Firewire.

Also, does the program used make any difference?

normally upgrading your computers specification will also help

ie faster processor, more memory, extra hard drive etc

If the computers pretty slow by the time the video is running the poor sound track often gets left behind. Having said that it is often ok once the video is rendered and burnt to disk
