Default DVD to MPEG or another format?

in my pro-ness i made a dvd, then deleted all the raw footage which is used in premiere, then i forgot to make another mpeg version for the internet, is there anyway i can copy it from the DVD to MPEG or something? i tried to just .rar the disc but it still comes up as 1.44 gb, way to big

How long is the video, how good do you want the quality and how small do you want the file size. Oh, and by the way, they all work against each other Put simply, for a 90 mins video, you'll get good quality video at a decent size (>640x480) for less about 700MB with DivX.
