Thread: "dropped" frames

    Default "dropped" frames

This problem comes and goes, but seems to appear more in complicated videos- lots of layers etc and I wonder if it has something to do with my lowish 256 mb ram and lack of a video card.

When I play the video, random frames will disappear and not play back. It's not a problem with the original source file; for example, if I go into the crop/pan the missing frame will show up in the crop/pan window but not the preview window.

It stays the same once the movie has been rendered.

Sometimes I can work around it, copy the previous frame for example but it's incredibly annoying...any ideas?

Any ideas? I rendered it last night and one layer blinks for about 5 seconds, two layers disappear simultaneously whenever a sound in a certain track plays...the video is due tomorrow so any help at all would be great...
