I'm most likely not the person to ask, but before you try adding media, Click "Inset" then "Video Track" or CTRL+SHIFT+Q.

Nope, badly that's not it, that's if you want to add a video track/line into the timeline. :(

    Someone else?

Find out what codecs the video is using as thats what is missing. To find out right click on the video icon and select properties and it should tell you in there. Then google that codec, download and install it then restart vegas and it should work fine.

I had this trying to edit Casio digital camera avis. The solution was to use fddshow to change the decoder for the m4s2 codec, then I could edit Casio avis even using the trial version of Vegas Movie Studio

It might be useing "directshow" codec, Vegas won't work with it. Down load a program called "gspot" yeh, I know trust The best thing to do is render it to DV-AVI then open in vegas and it should work.

    Software Used:
TGV Edius 6, TGV ProCoder 3, DVD Lab Pro. 2
