Default How to insert edit whilst retaining original soundtrack?

    Hello all!

I have intervideo's windvd creator which I'm not too familiar with.
I can insert whole video segments including audio, but can't see how to
insert just video alone without interrupting the original audio where the insert goes?

    Anyone familiar with this software?

If it is not up for the job, what editing software that is downloadable on dial up do you recommend? - some of them are 1gb and upwards.

I haven't got that software you mention, but you usually right click on the video track and a menu will appear allowing you to unlink the video and audio so they can be worked on separately. When you want to do an insert edit you cut a piece of video at the in and out points and then highlight and then hit the delete key, you then just drop the new piece into the gap. The only software I can recommend is Adobe Premiere Elements or its Pro version. Yes, they are massive files but if you live near to a cyber cafe you could go in there for an hour and download it - it will only work for thirty days but you should see if you like it or not by that time.
