Default Colour problem with old video

I have captured video clips from a 26 year old video tape that I filmed.
After importing it into PP2 it looked fine and the colour was a little rich.
After encoding to dvd, the red was very red the yellow was orange and the green was very very green.
Is there any way of doing a block colour correction on this footage with PP2

    Any help will be appreciated.

Absolutely there is. There is a plugin for exactly that purpose. I don't have PP2 in front of me at the moment but look through the video effects section. It'll be called 'Color Corrector' or something like that. In fact, one of the key selling points of PP2 is that this particular plugin has been revamped and is now much better. Not sure if that means easier to use or faster or what though.

Alternatively, you can play with the levels, brightness, saturation, contrast.

I would be very surprised if you can't get your footage looking just right. might take some playing though.
