Question Please Help with VHS capture.

Hello. I am making a documentary and I need to use some material from VHS tapes. Does anyone know how I could best capture the VHS to digital with the greatest resoution?
    Thanks

Hi. Assuming that most of your material will be DV, I suggest you capture that VHS video straight into DV from the very beginning. You will need either a camcorder with analog passthrough (AV-in), or a firewire device such as the inexpensive Canopus ADVC series (50, 100, 200, 300 etc.).

can you do that? hook up your VCR straight into your DV cam? I might give that a go if that's the case!
